Monday, 6 June 2022 - walking tour

Programme: St Mary’s Church and the Main Market Square Underground Museum

 

During the tour you will enter St. Mary’s Church to see great matserpiece by Veit Stoss – the high altar. Then you will listen the buggle call. Beneath the Main Market Square there is an underground permanent exhibition that houses, among others, pieces of former cobbled pathways and foundations of buildings which stood on the square till the 19th century. This museum also boasts a wide range of modern technologies, as well as numerous multimedia installations. The licensed guide will show you around this museum.
After the visit in the museum you will walk from the Main Square to the Jan Matejko Square to see the Barbican, the Florian’s Gate, The alley Of Princes Czartoryski and the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre.

Tuesday, 7 June 2022 - walking tour

Programme: The Princes Czartoryski Museum and the north part of the Old Town of Kraków

 

You will start at the Jan Matejko Square; there is a great view on the Barbican and the Florian’s Gate,. 
Then the guide will show you the building of the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre and the first power plants in Kraków. 
Near the theater you will see the alley of Princes Czartoryski and you will visit The Princes Czartoryski Museum to see great masterpices like The Lady with an Ermine by Leonardo da Vinci or the Landscape with the Good Samaritan by Rembrandt van Rijn.

Wednesday, 8 June 2022 - walking tour

Programme: Kazimierz - the Jewish and Christian part

 

While walking along the streets of Kazimierz you will see, among others, many synagogues, and you will hear about the old Jewish cemetery and Helena Rubinstein’s family house, the so-called queen of cosmetics, was born. We will also find out what mikveh was and visit some of the places where Steven Spielberg’s Schindler’s List was filmed. And most importantly, you will feel the unique atmosphere of this district! You will enter the Remuh Synagogue and cemetery.
The guide will show you the New Square, the New Temple Synagogue, the backyard between Meiselsa and Józefa streets called the Schindler's backyard. Then you will see the Church of Corpus Christi, the Basilica, the Church of St. Catherine and Margaret and Skałka – the place of worship of St. Stanislaus. At the and of sightseeing, the guide will show you the Father Bernatek Footbridge called the lover lock bridge and the Old Tram Depot.  After that, you will come back on the Szeroka Street to eat dinner in the Szara Kazimierz restaurant.

Thursday, 9 June 2022 - walking tour

Programme: The Wawel Hill and its surroundings

 

During this trip you will walk up to the Wawel Hill which for centuries served as the seat of Polish rulers. You will hear about the Cathedral, where Polish kings and queens were crowned, about the cathedral crypts contain tombs of sovereigns, national heroes and great poets. You will also see the courtyard of the Royal Castle and will find out where the magic Chakra stone is situated. And at the foot of the Wawel Hill there is the Dragon’s Cave, where you will hear the legend of Wawel’s dragon. Then you will walk the Kanonicza street, the St. Mary Magdalene Square, Grodzka Street, All Saints Square to and the sightseeing nearby the Franciscan Church and the Bishops’ Palace.

Friday, 10 June 2022 - walking tour

Programme: The Oskar Schindler’s Enamel Factory

During the tour you will visit The Oskar Schindler’s Enamel Factory at 4 Lipowa Street, where in the original administrative building of the factory is presented the exhibition “Krakow – occupation time 1939-1945”. At this point, our guide will introduce you to the history of saving Jews by Schindler and will show you, among others, a photo with Schindler, the original secretary’s office and office, as well as explain the mystery of the stairs shown in the film.
